NEWS And OPINIONS AND SERENDIPITOUS THOUGHTS AND ASSOCIATIONS

I HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYED FATHER'S DAY, especially all you fathers out there.

THIS TUESDAY I WILL FOCUS ON the extreme heat we are under now. Our thoughts, prayers, and best wishes go out to all of you that have suffered around the country with the wildfires, the heat, and the temperatures over 100 degrees now in many places. It must be hard, please stay hydrated and comfortable, be safe and not sorry! It is so important.

IT HAS BEEN HOPPING here already, had winemakers, husband-and-wife from Red Mountain, Washington State, Tim and Kelly Hightower of their own HIGHTOWER Vineyard, that also makes wines under the MURRAY label, we will pour some of their wines this Friday when Matt Daniels comes to pour them here from 5-8PM, join us! Friday will be a good tasting as these wines are fruit-centered, fruit-bright, lovely expressions of what the vines can do in the soil and climate of Red Mountain, a real treat! Special wines, balanced, expressive. Thanks Tim and Kelly, and Matt!

WE ALSO JUST HAD McKenszie Ingold our regional manager from STARR Ultra-Superior Light RUM here tasting and waxing petic over this rum made in Mauritius, where my good friend Tatiana Maria lives! We have set up a tasting of the rum, very smooth, very elegant, silky, when I commented on it, saying I liked it, McKenzie said : " Thank you for having such good taste. ".

THE HEAT IS HARSH today and so many light wines chilled are to be recommended, gin and tonics, and many beers, too that are lighter, and easier to drink and enjoy, and do not go straight to the head : we do have 24-pacls and even one 30-pack of cans, all in the back, all chilled, all around $20 so you have something easy and refreshing, the CORONA and DOS EQUIS beers, too, many from Europe, some of the lighter German, Belgian, beers as well, those from Central and South America as well like the ITAIPAVA Cerveja Pilsen from Brazil, On Special for $8.99, with the summer Olympics coming on so soon in Brazil! Come see what we have, from El Salvador, from Spain, from Argentina, Chile and the list goes on ... fun, refreshing, easy to enjoy, relax, feel good, even in the heat!
