     ALSO : From Santos we have : SCHOFFERHOFER Grapefruit Hefeweizen beer/ bier from Germany, 4 1 pint, 9 fluid ounce cans On Special for $9.99. This is a great ' heat-buster! ' : so refreshing, so rich and flavorful and pleasing, a real winner anytime, but especially now.
     Saturday, July 30th, ( 2-6PM ) : We have TWO TASTINGS :
1) 2-5PM : We have Robert and Diana back of our tasty Bulgarian wines , BULGARIANA and K CELLARS, also tasting some PENDER Kosher For Passover, some MOTLEY CK. ROOSTER red non-kosher : both from CASTRA RUBRA ... great food wines, so balanced, so true to their origins, real discoveries.
2) 5-8PM ) : We have Andrea Shank coming back again after her really successful introduction tasting here recently. She will pour a selection of wines from Argentina, the Basque country, Spain and that will include at least one, probably two ALEXANDRO sherries like the Oloroso, what a beauty that is, so lovely and fresh, vibrant accents that work in perfect harmony! This will be fun, Andrea is here now and taking inventory , and she will have some fun wines to share with you. You all will like her.

      Wednesday, August 3rd, 2016 ( 5-8PM ) : We have John Peters coming to taste some fine Malbec 2011 from VALENTIN Bianchi Vineyards, San Rafael, Mendoza, Argentina, On Special for $12.99, regularly $19.99 a bottle. This is an old-world style, much like an Italian traditional wine would be : earthy, rustic, some funk, some grit and girth, some grip, a fine food wine. Come taste it, see what you think? We will also taste some fine inexpensive Pink Moscato from Italy that is lovely and smooth and easy-sipping, and also On Special for $9.99 a bottle. From the sublime to the ridiculously sublime!
     Friday, August 4th, 2016 ( 5-8PM ) We have Brian Fursgren here from Downey Selections here pouring some fine Italian wines, maybe one or two, also from Uruguay. Maybe some of the Sauvignon Blanc? Maybe some of the great values from southern Italy, an Aglainico red, maybe an Orvieto, maybe some great Primitivo for D&N Imports? Always something fun and exciting here, that is a promise.
     Saturday, August 5th, 2016 ( 5-8PM ) : We have Franceen Kahng here from Vias Imports pouring some really great Italian wines, some ' super values ' like the CANTELE wines, we talked about the Chardonnay as a possibility, $14.49, 2014, 12.5% alcohol by volume, from Pullia, but I think we decided to go instead with the Sicilian PURATO wines, a Nero D'Avola I believe that does everything to protect our environment, from the recycled paper to the organic grapes  , some more splurges, too like her soave that blows us away each and every time that we sample it, the I STEFANINI Soave D.O.C., $18.99, 2014, with 12.5% alcohol by volume, so smooth, buttered liquid-thick sunshine!

     Wednesday, August 10th, 2016 ( 5-8PM ) : We have Eric Platt coming to pour some of his ' great value-reduction ' wines that include wines of Germany, Spain and Italy, dry reds and whites, some off-dry whites, too, something for everyone, and all on ' deep ' discounts.

     Friday, August 12th, 2016 ( 5-8PM ) : We have Narayan Campbell of the Global Wines Maryland company here to pour some really fine wines made in California like IDYL Cellars, some also from Oregon and Washington State. We are still working on the final selection, will taste more this week to determine what to pour then?
     Saturday, August 13th, 2016 ( 2-6PM ) : We have Robert Kennedy here to pour some of his delicious Italian reds, whites, and maybe rose wines, too? I am thinking that these might be perfect : ...
1) ' Cavaliere Bianco ' 2014 , a dry Italian white from Emilia, from TENUTA CASALI, a 2014 Trebbiano, lighter, so refreshing, brighter, a wonderful way to sip a wine in this blistering heat!
2) ' Un Grillo per la Testa ' BLUES Grillo indigenous dry Sicilian white, from PAOLO CALI, $18.99 a bottle, this is another beauty, tastes like a fine white Bordeaux wine, only different, with 12.5% alcohol by volume, ... liquid Sicilian brighest-smartest sunlight-turned-wine!
3) ' EstRosa ' from 100% Primitivo grapes of Murgia, Gioia del Colle, Puglia, 2014, deep rich luminous color, WOW, this is a beauty, with 13.5% alcohol by volume, ... thanks, grazie Paolo!
4) ' Petrignone ' Sangiovese Riserva 2011 from Romagna, Italy fro TRE MONTI, $19.99, with 15% alcohol by volume is another great winner made by owner, winemaker Vittorio!
     ALSO : We have back the very talented, hardworking Lithuanian Andrius Miliunas of CRAFT Wine & Spirits LLC, tasting an assortment of his spirits from Virginia whiskey to Caribbean or is it Hawaiian rum, French-Scottish single malts, Breckinridge Bourbon Whiskey, and so much more , hard to remember them all, he may serve some TeaVine, too, a perfect slightly-sparkling tea-wine blend with some honey infusion, $15.99 a bottle!
     Wednesday, July 17th, 2016 : ( 5-8 PM ) : We have our Big Theme Wine-Tasting feauturing the wines of South Africa with Caitlin Cross and her mother, Narayan Campbell, too, ...  with some other wonderful wines, too from Spain including sherry wines, with  Britis importer Peter Deutch and Sangeeta Rao of Lanterna Imports, and Brian Armstrong of Barrel One Wines Imports ... some great Italian wines as well with Franceen Kahng of Vias Imports, and Noel Brockett with winemakers-owners of Hungary, ... a real fun tasting really, wines we are so excited about now here at Cleveland Park Wine and Spirits!
     Friday, August 19th, 2016, 5-8PM : We have Andrea Shank here of Tradewinds Specialty Imports here to talk and taste her fine wines of Argentina, Spain, the Basque country, and we will always try and include a sherry for you all to discover the joys and wonders of sherries!
We also have a HERITAGE Brewing Company beer tasting from 4-7PM. Call and ask Santos Rivera for more info on which beers will be tasted.
     Saturday. August 20th, 2016 ( 2-6PM ) : We have Eddie Janik here pouring a selection of his fine wines. That still has to be decided, could be wines of the U.S., could be some Spanish or French wines, or Chilean, we will see : Opici has a good selection. I am thinking we will pour some of ' The Girls ' dry white California blend, as well as the red Cabernet Sauvignon? That would be nice, I like them both very much.

TONIGHT IS the 2nd night of the Democratic National Convention. Fprmer President Bill Clinton will speak.
WHAT WILL YOU ALL drink tonoght while watching the convention or other shows, playing games, Pokemon, cross-stitching, crossword puzzles, reading, relaxing, preparing a meal, reading stories, sharing the events of the day, chilling, smiling, smirking, laughing ?!?
