BEER & CIDER  From Santos :

     1) POTTER'S Craft Cider, the Farmhouse Dry, $12.99, with 8.5% alcohol by volume, from Free Union, VA. " Our cider is made from a blend of traditional apple varietals, including Virginia Winesap and Albermarle Pippin. The apples are grown locally in family-run orchards in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. ... "

     2) ' Riot Rye ' Rye Pale Ale from MONOCACY Brewing Co., hand-crafted, MBC 12-001 , est. 2012, from Frederick, Maryland ... : " A ruckus of complex flavor is carried in on the amber glow of torchight. As tension builds between hop bitterness and the malty tones delivered by locally grown and malted grist, a perfect balance is achieved. The robust texture of rye allies itself with the flavors from specialty malts and hops to rebel against preconceived notions of beer. Unseat the crown. Start a riot. " I love this, really do, drive by it to see my Mom, have for months now, yes!

     3) ' El Sully ' Cerveza from the 21st AMENDMENT Brewery, hecho en San Leandro, CA. ; " The sun was in our eyes and we did not get a good look, but you are closer to him right now than most will ever have the good fortune to be. Whi is el Sully? Grab a can of this Mexican-style lager, head to the nearest beach, and perhaps he'll come to you. " A Mexican-style lager ... perfect to enjoy with this heat and humidity now! And my father lived in San Leandrom I am all over this, yes!
