Born In 1945? Married Then? FrenchRivesaltes, 1945

Chris Barker and I have just had one of the treats of a lifetime! Our salesperson just brought us a rare bottle of 1945 French dessert wine from the Rivesaltes of Southwest, France and it sure was and still is amazing. I had him pour some in my glass and I can smell it as it's amazing bouquet fills this office and my nostrils as I type this. It's goldne to burnt caramel in color and as bright and fresh almost as it had been just made! It has lovely overtones of apricots, peaches and nectarines with overtones of sophisticated nuts and honey to levels that are sublime and so refined and the core - the center - the heart and the soul and the essence of this fine liquid in all it's glory, strngth, vulnerability and power to hold a spell and tell a sublime story first on the nose and then a person's palate.

This is history and everything magnificent and nice and wonderful and with longevity and an experience that is well-worth the $150 a bottle that it will cost you. You may also enjoy it for 6 months after you open the bottle. Let us know if you want a bottle : come by and try some today here in the store : Friday, January 29th, 2010. WE will order you a bottle. It's a special order : not in the store currently, but still available to you if you act quickly now. Cheers,  TONY    Call: 202-363-4265 and ask for Chris or me, Tony.
